A Year at Yarram Park

At Yarram Park we are continuing our strong focus on growing out our bulls purely on a grass-based system to ensure their success in a commercial situation.

We uphold high importance in managing our bulls under this system to guarantee longevity and underpin their performance under normal paddock conditions.

Welcome everyone to our 2025 Bull Sale. As we’re all aware, after 75 years of breeding this will be Yarram Park’s final Hereford Bull Sale.

As with most parts of the Western District and SE Sth Australia, Yarram Park has endured a very dry 2024 which has continued into early 2025. It’s quite interesting what these seasons can dish up – it puts a few things in perspective and gives us a chance to review our systems and on farm fodder and water storages – that’s for sure!

Given the conditions, we couldn’t be happier with how this years run of Bulls are presenting, once again adhering to our grassfed policy.

We have a very good range of sires to choose from throughout the catalogue. Talbalba Emperor is breeding very well, Days Godfather has proved to be highly fertile, with fantastic A.I results, both direct and through his progeny and there is also a solid line of bulls sired by blue chip Yarram Park Genetics that would suit all programs.

In closing, I would like to take the opportunity to thank our committed team at Yarram Park for the collective work we do in conjunction to ensure the success of all enterprises and in particular from a cattle perspective to Mick Petersen and Rudelle McArthur for their enthusiasm, commitment and organisation of all facets of the stud program.

In the very short tenure that I’ve had, I feel very grateful to have met all of Yarram Park's loyal clients and all the people that provide service to the stud and I wish everyone success going forward.

Regards,
Craig Brewin
